Yuta Lee founded Accelerated Biosciences Corp in September of 2013 to commercialize the allogeneic human trophoblast stem cell (hTSC) platform, discovered by his father, Professor Jau-Nan Lee, M.D. Ph.D. in 2003. hTSCs are the earliest cells from pre-implantation, pre-placental cells that you can source ethically. Accelerated Bio has been awarded 49 patents worldwide. Accelerated Bio’s pipeline includes Parkinson’s Disease, Type 1 Diabetes, as well as Cell Senescence.
Yuta also served as the President of ZMI Electronics, a Taiwan based medical device company. ZMI provides OEM and ODM services to all of the largest physiotherapy brands in the United States and European Union. Yuta manages 36 employees, including a research and development team of 8 persons.
Prior to ZMI, Yuta worked for 8 years in the property and casualty insurance industry for companies such as Chubb Group and American International Group. He underwrote financial institutions risk such as directors & officer’s insurance, professional liability, fidelity, and kidnap & ransom. Yuta has dual B.A. degree in economics and legal studies from the University of
California, Berkeley. Yuta earned his MBA in 2009 from China Europe International Business School in Shanghai, China and graduated with the Outstanding Graduate of the Year Award.
