Dr. Michael Suk, MD, JD, MPH, MBA, FACS, is a distinguished orthopaedic surgeon and a prominent figure in the medical field. He holds an impressive array of degrees and certifications, including an M.D. from the University of Illinois College of Medicine, a J.D./M.P.H. with a focus on health care law from Boston University School of Law and School of Public Health, and an M.B.A. from the University of Scranton.

Dr. Suk completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and a fellowship in orthopaedic trauma at the Hospital for Special Surgery, Weill College of Medicine at Cornell University.

Throughout his career, Dr. Suk has been actively involved in various leadership roles and initiatives. He has been a member of Leadership Florida and was selected as one of ten Leadership Fellows for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

In his latest scientific news, Dr. Suk was elected as the chair-elect of the American Medical Association (AMA) Board of Trustees in June 2023. His expertise in new models for healthcare payment and delivery, physician engagement, and leadership has positioned him as a sought-after authority in the medical community.

Notably, Dr. Suk introduced the world’s first “lifetime warranty” for total joint replacement, disrupting the dialogue on value-based care.
