Dr. Lynne Cox is a biochemist at the University of Oxford, where she has been studying the molecular basis of aging for over 23 years. Her research focuses on understanding the mechanisms of aging in human cells and model organisms, with the aim to develop interventions that can promote healthy aging and extend lifespan. Dr. Cox is also the head of the lab of Ageing and Cell Senescence at the Department of Biochemistry.

In addition to her academic work, Dr. Cox is involved in various initiatives related to longevity and aging. She is a co-chair of the EU Geriatric Medicine Society special interest group on ageing biology and sits on the strategic advisory board of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Longevity.

Dr. Cox has also written books on longevity, including “The Longevity Imperative” (2024)
